SimplyHealth dental plan -any good?

Trying to decide what to do now my nhs dentist has packed it in.

I know some dentists offer denplan but have also seen about Simply Health, so you can choose your own dentist. Pay either £11.50 or £19 a month (or more depending what plan you’re on). You then claim money back for a check up, for a scale and polish and also for dental work (either £200 or £400 depending which of those two plans you’re paying for.

or the alternative is I don’t have a plan, pay £65 a year for a check up and hope i don’t need any treatment. I guess some years I’d be better off on a plan and other years i wouldn’t. I’m effectively gambling whether I need fillings, etc.

i am currently waiting for 2x extractions but my (ex) dentist referred me to maxfax at the hospital which I assume will continue to be done under the nhs. So hopefully after that is done i should be ok for a bit.

if anyone does use SimplyHealth is the claim process easy?

I use it, it’s very easy. Had no problems. Been with them for years.

Thank you, online reviews look good. Just need to decide which level to use now.
