Can delayed periods and longer cycles cause nausea

I used to be very regular - every 28/29/days. Then in January it went to once every 6 or 7 or 8 weeks. This is my third period since January. Just started yesterday and I am hit with tremendous nausea.

I am definitely not pregnant due to a sexless relationship.

I am not partying it up and noone close to me is sick so it can't be that.

The only thing I can think of is longer cycles and a build up of hormones causing me a feeling of sickness.

I'm dying today.
