Last night I was aware of my vulva/perineum being tender after I went for a wee.

Today it's very sore. It's on the opposite side to where I had an episiotomy but exactly the same area.

It's agony to touch. It's not red but maybe very slightly swollen.

Any ideas?

How recent was your episiotomy? Could it be the start of a yeast infection?

fruitymum · 05/04/2008 15:23

do you have a discharge? does it hurt when you pass urine? Is there any itch?

assdoc · 05/04/2008 15:24

Nearly 14 years ago! I was just using that as a geographical guide!

I've had thrush before but never pain like this.

No discharge, no itch, no pain on peeing.

Why, oh why do I google?

It's in the right place for a bartholins cyst.

Some of the images I produced were horrific.
I hope it's not one.

mm bit stuck then - could be thrush - canesten cream with soothe. Have you changed shower gel, bubble bath , washing powder, using different towels or panty liners - am thinking it might be that you re sensitive to something. Or just very energetic sex ....

assdoc · 05/04/2008 15:41

I'm very careful about which soaps etc I use as most seem to upset my balance as it were.

I wish I could blame it on energetic sex but we mainly do lazy lethargic sex these days.

Thanks for your suggestions up to now. I'll just see what happens then. Fingers crossed it goes away before Monday and I don't have to go to the docs with it. I'm very bad at baring my bits.
