7 year old tummy pains intermittent last 4 days

Hi

Our DS who just tunred 7 has been having intermittent stomach pains since Monday - today he did not eat his lunch at school and for the first time every at school just before finishing school he went for a number two which made the belly a bit bitter - he was looking pale and washed out

Now he is a lot better and playing football in the garden
we tried for gp appt but none
Will get gp tomorrow via NHA failing that we have private HC so may try that

Any ideas?

He is eating normally when no pain - dull throbbing pain he says

Has he had a virus lately, a cough or cold last week maybe? Sounds like mesenteric adenitis which my 7 year old also gets.

Was also going to suggest mesenteric adenitis. When I had it as a child I was in agony for 24-48 hours but when my eldest boy had it last year it seemed to come and go over a week. In between he was ok though a bit tired.

Worth checking with Gp as it can be near the appendix (I ended up in hospital with suspected appendicitis after one flare but it was just that.)
