Is it a pile/haemorrhoid or more sinister?

TMI warning. NC'd recently but been here 7+ years.

I thought I had haemorrhoids; outside of bum is blue/black with a line of black coming out. I had been treating with anusol and stool softeners, but woke today with the line coming out (black line under skin, assuming blood) However, there is no lump. I thought there'd always be a lump. I have no itching or soreness and have tried to feel for a lump but there isn't one. Is this normal for piles or does this sound like something more serious? Thank you.

It doesn't sound like piles as they present as lumps inside or just outside your bottom. If you're worried l would see your G P for a proper diagnosis.

Haemorrhoids can sometimes be pushed back in, or only pop out after straining. They can also be internal only, which are better treated with a suppository. I agree- see your GP next time you are there if worried.

Sad just freaking out because what the hell could it be if it's not piles?

@mopeyy The only way you will know is to see your GP and let them have a look. It doesn't sound like a pile as you say its flat but could be a little tear or similar. Go and get it checked out.

It could a varicosed vein. You need a GP to look at it tbh.
