Painful hands and wrists at night

The last 2 nights I’ve been woken up by the joints in my fingers and wrists being so painful, pins and needles in them and swollen. Some fingers also feel numb.

yesterday this didn’t ease until I’d been up for the day a couple of hours. Today they are still like this now and I’ve been up for an hour.

what on earth could this be!?

Carpel tunnel. I sleep with wrist splints from Amazon to prevent it now, although they take a while to get working when you first start wearing them.

It sounds like RSI, carple tunnel or something similar - well known for being painful at night

Try dangling your hands over the edge of the bed. I sleep with wrists guards on at night when mine is really bad.
