Have seen a few threads on this from a few years back, however presume there are now new things now and new shoes that will help the condition.

Any recommendations?

I developed terrible PF during lockdown as I went barefoot the whole time. I hate wearing shoes indoors and feet get too hot in slippers, but I discovered Oofos flip flops which were a game changer, it's like walking on marshmallow and they're properly moulded so good for PF sufferers. Expensive, but so worthwhile that I bought two pairs.

For shoes outside, I had insoles made by a podiatrist and buy normal shoes half a size up to accommodate them. Final recommendation for sandals though would be Moshulu Wilma sandals, again they're moulded cork so supportive.

I don't consider myself as having plantar fascitis anymore but if I go barefoot too much I can feel it coming back, so I swear by the above!

I love going bare foot, does that mean I won't be able to do it any more?

I can’t go bare foot either now - brings back an attack. I wear Fit Flops as recommended by the podiatrist. Made a huge difference.
