Baby recessing? But told fine?

My little boy was born at 34 weeks, he spent some time in NICU (9 nights) for ‘preemie lungs’ and then 5 nights in TC with me.

When he was in TC, I mentioned he was recessing a little at the sides by his rib cage. All his stats were fine but the nurses got him reviewed and they said ‘No he’s fine, it’s because he’s small we can see more mum’

He’s been home for 2.5 weeks and while it’s not got worse, it’s still there?

I took him to a&e on Thursday, they did a chest X-ray and blood gasses and they were both fine… and we saw a consultant paediatrician, who reviewed him and deemed it as normal again?

I’m trying to put this to bed but my anxiety won’t let me as I’ve not seen anything but negatives on google! - what is normal?

Did anyone else’s little one have these and they were just normal / because they were small?! 😖

I'm guessing that if he has been checked several times and all professionals have said he is fine, then it's just currently 'normal for him'. Especially if it isn't any worse.
Having a new baby is a nerve wracking time as you feel so unsure about everything. It gets easier.
Keep an eye, if it gets worse, get him looked at again, but otherwise try to relax a bit and just enjoy your new baby.
Congratulations
