Pain near the heart

Hello,

I am hoping if someone could relate and offer advice.

Since evening I have been having on and off pains where the heart is. It comes and goes a d just increased to the point i needed to stop when i was reading a book to DS. I can plot the pain like peaks and troughs on a graph, something like that.

I don't know what it is. I am 39, no diagnosed heart problems, generally healthy, average weight, non-smoker.

I am putting it down to some kind of sprain or bad sleeping posture whatever.

Have anyone experienced this? Is it normal to have pains there?

Erm.... Call 111, they'll likely send an ambulance or tell you to go to A&E

Go to A&E. I had my first heat attack at 39, it was a spontaneous coronary artery dissection, it’s much more common in women. Your artery tears and blocks the artery, rather than plaque build up.

I'll call 111, thank you.

I didnt want to bother if its trapped gas or something but its hurting towards the back as well.

Lower back? Upper back? Left side? Right? More near the shoulder? That can range anywhere from pulled muscle, appendicitis to heart attack. Good luck OP, hope all is okay and it's something minor
