Normal b12 but low folate levels

Been feeling really shattered lately and realised I was asking DH to do more and more of the night wakeups with DS. The GP ran some blood tests and I had a letter late this afternoon saying that my b12 levels were normal (256 ng/L) but my folate is low (3.2 ug/L). Does anyone know if this means it's definitely diet related and couldn't be pernicious anaemia/something else? I've been looking online but still not massively confident I understand the findings. TIA.

Low folate is almost always diet unless you have some other health conditions.

It is nothing to do with pernicious anaemia.

Someone more educated will be able to advise you better, but I believe low folate levels can mask b12 deficiency. 256 is on the low side, just not NHS low.

Your B12 is low actually, I'll try and link to some resources but what the UK guideline class as within range is low in other countries. Below 300 is definitely enough to cause symptoms
