amber teething necklaces - anyone used them?

i have just bought one for my 4mo DD and was wondering if anyone else had experience of using them. wether they work and how long it took for them to start working?

Lot of hocus pocus, I reckon. When I first saw these I thought they helped with teething because the baby chewed on the beads! That's a bit dangerous, I thought. Turns out the "amber" itself is meant to magically ease the pain of teeth forcing their way through soft baby gums. Sorry, vnmum, but think you'd be better off with a spoonful of calpol.

erm well I bought one for ds1 because it was such a lovely concept but atcually it did jack for his teething

Though maybe it would have been worse without it

It is a nice necklace though, fits me too.
