Anyone able to advise about dd's gumline?

Hi, I posted some time ago (when I had different posting name of loopity) about dd's saga of a babytooth that did not want to come out here. Got some reassuring advice from other mn'ers (particularly sandcastles, thank you).

The tooth has been out for just over a year now and the adult tooth is fully down and thankfully in alignment with the other front tooth. The large split in her gum has closed a fair bit, however the gumline of that tooth remains higher than the rest, by a couple of mm perhaps - but big enough that it may cause her to be self-conscious in the future. Has anyone had any experience of this either professionally or with their dc's? Would a gumline continue to come down gradually to same alignment of other teeth over a long period or can we encourage it to come down further eg through massaging gum?

Just wondering if anyone has any advice before our next dental appt? Thanks
