does it correct itself over time???..

it is not severe enough it seems to me to cover eye but only mild and thus gives a slight impression of eye being slightly smaller

This is called ptosis. There are a number of fairly benign reasons why it can happen, as well as a few (very rare) less benign ones. Get it checked out, and point out to the Dr that it is intermittent. Keep a diary to see if there is a particular pattern to it (eg. worse if tired or in the evening).

can it be cured??

I think so, but it will depend what the cause is. I'm not a medic, but suffered from one of the less harmless diseases of which this is a symptom, so I know a bit about it.

Get it checked out. But do try and keep a diary to see if you can work out what triggers it. It's not a particularly common symptom, so be insistent if necessary.

it is mild and to me one eyelid is more "meaty" if you get my drift with more skin folds....
