Any tips to help rid DD of the cold?

Hi

DD (2.1yrs old) has had a constant cold since Christmas. She has always had a runny nose when she's been teething but her last baby teeth came through in December so now she's got the set of 20 I know it's a cold. She often has green snot which I understand is a sign of an infection? She's got a horrible cough as well but when I took her to the Dr he just said it was upper respiratory, not a chest infection etc and she will just ride it out.

Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent her getting these colds? Maybe I am dressing her too cooly or having the house too warm? Would these things contribute? Next week she drops down to going to the childminder one day a week but up until now it's been 2 days so she's been in contact with lots of other children (school, toddler and baby ages).

Any advice really welcome, it's starting to drive me mad!

well that does make me feel a little better but I am sure some of her friends don't have the constant cold. Hmm will ask the mums at toddler group as well, I am sure they all feel the same though and it's very true what you say about not noticing when they don't have one.
