how pregnant do you think you are? not sure you are likely to feel any kicking until you are 16 weeks or so.....iirc

well i don't know. I haven't had anymore sensations since last night, so maybe i just had a wierd twitching muscle. I've had 2 babies, so shouold know what is going on in my body. I had never felt anything like it. I'm hoping that it's stopped for good as it was most disconcerting.

it is possible to have a period and still be pregnant, BUT if you are only just considering the fact that you might be then it would be way too early to be able to feel any kicks as the baby would barely have buds yet if you were to assume that you would only be 4-5 weeks ATM have you tested yet?? it would be worth doing a test just to make 100% sure HTH

Sorry, but a friend of mine only realised she was preggers at 7 months (it was her 3rd baby aswell!!!) She had proper periods and seriously did not have a bump. Buy a test - the store brand ones are dead cheap now. You probably aren't pregnant but if you are worried it is easy to find out.

Yes, my friend had 2 children and had periods all the way up to 8 months, she had 1 month to prepare for the arrival of number 1!!!! She thought she was retaining water...amazing but true.

I felt the first tell tale signs of little movements at about 8 weeks with my second, probably wouldn't have felt them for the first few weeks if I wasn't looking for them though.

Not sure whether a 'good luck' is in order or not?!

When DS1 was about 18 months old, I could feel a kicking in my stomach, like a baby kicking. A friend told me it was nature's way of reminding me to have another baby! And sure enough shortly afterwards I got pregnant with DS2.

I think I'll go and buy a test tomorrow. I am expecting it to be negative, but will not mind if it's positive as we would like to have another. I'll let you know what happens

longlegted · 31/03/2008 22:15

took a test today and it was negative. the strange feeling of kicking is still there. it must be some kind of weird bug.

Thanks for all the advice and am glad that there are others of you that have had a similar sensation when not pregnant. I'm just hoping it will stop soon as it is really strange
