lochia back 10 weeks post-birth? (sorry if TMI)

dd is now ten weeks old, i had really heavy bleeding post-birth that calmed down after a couple of weeks and disappeared almost completely after 5. Then at 6 weeks i had what i thought was a light period - different bleeding to the lochia and accompanied by period pains. I had exactly the same period type pain again yesterday, accompanied by light bleeding, which would make sense being approx 4 weeks after the first period. However, tonight i have had a really heavy bleed and a largish clot the same as when i was losing the lochia.
I had gone back to using tampons after my six week check showed no probs, do you think this is just a bit of lochia that had failed to come out and was dislodged by a tampon? Should i be concerned / book a docs appt or is this fairly normal? Sorry if TMI but was sure that i shouldn't still be bleeding this long after the birth?

Weird periods after having a baby isn't that unusual, imo.

the period bit is working like it should though, if you see what i mean? It's just that it's now accompanied by more lochia which is the weird bit! Two different kinds of blood between yesterday and today

I think I remember more clotting, and stranger and heavier periods, after each DS.

I'd agree with nqc even 17 months after ds my periods are noticeably different and more clotty
