Unusual spot on face with photos

Prefacing this to say I will see GP asap but I have this spot- well it looks like a spot- but it's purple and has a white bit when shining a light on it.

Massively worried it's something sinister- it has been here on/ off for a month- fades then comes back.

Any words of wisdom appreciated

If you tighten the skin, does it go translucent. Don't want to alarm you, but a friend had similar and had it removed as was skin cancer.

Take lots of photos send to to they are normally great with images

Thankfully no (just checked- my heart skipped a beat). It just goes flat and pure purple with no white. I am really worried as I do get spots but noticed this a while ago then it kind of faded then took a photo earlier and it is back.
How is your friend now?

My GP doesn't do photos but I have to say they're pretty good at callback/ seeing you that day or the next so here's hoping.

My SIL has skin cancer last year and similar to me she's a sun hater so goes to show it really can happen to anyone. Not saying it is that but defs worrying
