Anyone take Apple Cider Vinegar/gummies for reflux, specifically silent reflux?

I bought some of these and also some ACV a while back reading that it can help with acid reflux, mine is silent reflux, constantly snorting, throat clearing, blowing nose, bit of a cough etc but no heartburn and no sour taste etc.

I havent tried taking it yet, and wondered whether anyone does do this and it helped, or did it make it worse. Also if you are on antacids, did you keep taking them at the same time?

I take it (not gummies- the unfiltered vinegar with "the mother") for gallbladder issues. It does help.

Testing.
No idea why that was hidden. Was just saying I take ordinary apple cider vinegar for gallbladder issues

I do also have gallstones and sometimes I wonder if the reflux is connected.

But I do have digestive enzymes that I take when the gallbladder starts grumbling

Be careful of the gummies - they can cause enamel erosion. That’s what you’re supposed to drink acv through a straw.

Me too! Tbh, since starting the enzymes, I rarely take the vinegar.

Thats a really good point. I bought the gummies a while ago and they have sat on the worktop unopened. LIke months ago

Same with the bottle of ACV because I just dont know if I should try to take it to see if it helps the relfux, I dont know whether to take it in the morning as I usually take the antacids in the morning. Does it get taken with antacids in any case.

Why would consuming acid help with acid reflux? Surely it just increases the amount of acid in your stomach?

Good question, as I have been reading up about all this there are some theories (no medical evidence) that taking ACV causes the body to make less acid or controls it better in some way, particularly when using the mother

But, because it is counter productive and may well cause issues I wanted to know if anyone had used it successfully for this reason. I know it has other benefits.

Like mine earlier. I wonder if we're using a naughty word inadvertently when just wanting to talk about indigestion 😂

My husband has inoperable gall stones - he has other health problems that rules out the Operations. He.drinks pure apple juice every day which helps .
