Ok, talk to me about avoiding scarring [vain]

I have a cut on my face, from surgery.

I don't tend to scar really badly, but I'd like to scar as little as possible from this.

The stitches come out on Tuesday (I think?). I don't think I'd be comfortable putting anything on the wound now, anyway, it was just done on Wednesday and that whole area of my face feels, well, bad. But when I am comfortable doing anything, what products help?

Bio oil
Are you OK NQC?
What with Frogs and the smashed-up leg...

NotQuiteCockney · 28/03/2008 09:31

What happened to Frogs' leg?

I've had a eye duct operation. It went well, but recovery is still difficult. I had thought I'd be up for dealing with the kids today! Ha!

(Thankfully I was worried things might go wrong, and had arranged childcare - turned out, even though everything went right, I still want to lie still today.)

Bio oil is a boots thing? I thought there were special plasters?

Yes there are special plasters, can't remember what they are called. Might have silver nitrate in them...once your scar has healed and sealed, definitely Bio Oil (you'll find it in independent pharmacies and health shops as well as Boots btw)

Glad the op went OK. Frogs apparently came off her bike in Archway Road and broke her leg in several places (inc. knee )

In Whittington for a week, now out on crutches

Anything requiring a general, however brief, does you in for 48 hours IME.

Hope you are firing on four cylinders soon

NotQuiteCockney · 28/03/2008 19:34

Well, it's been 48 hours, I still feel like crap. I was under for about an hour, I think.

I feel like I've been assaulted. Well, they did break a bone in my nose to do their work, so no suprise there. Gah.

Poor frogs! In hospital for a week!

Vitamin e capsules, broken, applied to skin. And lavender oil in your bath.
