strange bruising on my outer thigh

a while ago whilst in the bath i noticed bruising on my thigh that hung round for a bit, the original bruises are fading, however have now noticed that more slight bruising has appeared in the exact same area, i cant remmeber banging myself but its a bit strange how its in the same place, if it was anything nasty it wouldnt just be in one place would it?

thanks elibean, have been racking my brains and dh reckons dd jumped on me on sunday morning which i sort of remember, but not sure if it was on my thigh area, have spent most of the night imagining horrible things wrong with me, but then reasoning that when i was pregnant (4 years ago) they did loads of routine blood tests, so would of found anything dodgy? god, im such a panicker

Do you have a table or other heavy object that is the same height as your bruise?! I have permanent bruise that is same height as coffee table...

really AHM? thats quite reasurring, it is the same height as a lot of things ive measured but i just cant remember banging it

Well I've always bruised easily - me and my sister used to compete for the most bruises when we were kids - so maybe it's just me.
But it's more likely that you banged it and forgot than it's something dodgy, imo. If it carries on worrying you get it checked tho.

I've got a bruise the size of an orange on my thigh atm.

I dont remember hurting it, but I know when it appeared. I had been cleaning the bath, and stretching across to clean it. So leaning on the edge of the bath caused it (I only noticed because I wasnt wearing trousers so actually saw it come up). It matches the height exactly. It doesnt hurt, and I'd not have known had I been wearing trousers.

It could be something as simple as leaning against a stairgate as you go through it or something that is catching a weak vein.

I was just going to say, sounds like a stairgate bruise to me - DH and I had permanent ones before getting rid of the gate!

do you have vein trouble?
