Anyone seen anything like this? Tonsil stone/cyst/abscess

I have been to the dentist this morning who couldn't really see it and as I am booked in to see the nurse at the GP tomorrow they told me to just wait until then

You can only see it when i move the skin in front of my tonsils out of the way whilst simultaneously flexing my tonsils. I have slight ear pain on that side and discomfort when swallowing but no major pain.

I suffer from frequent tonsillitis if that's relevant.

I was originally going to the nurse for the opposite tonsil as its larger than this one but now I have this thing

Looks like the start of tonsillitis.

I get tonsil stones behind 1 tonsil. I need a bright light, mirror and then to move part of the skin back to review what is lurking! Mine are brighter though, like an off-white/cream colour and closer in color to teeth. I've bought sterile syringes from the pharmacy (no needle), used warmed saline and gently squirted it at the side of the stone to dislodge it. Sounds awful, but I've left a bowl of water underneath my mirror/light setup so I can spit the water out into the bowl- hopefully with the tonsil stone falling out too!

I can feel when there is a large one there, like something irritating that side when I swallow.

I get loads of these, just have to fight your gag reflex and find something to poke your tonsils with. It’s not pleasant but it’s oddly satisfying. GP won’t do anything about it.

The bit you circled in blue looks like the abscess I had a few weeks ago. It didn't look like a lump which I would have expected, more like the palate was being pushed down.

I was eventually admitted with quinsy. That was after a month of tonsillitis and a couple of courses of antibiotics. It kept coming back. Once I had the absess drained it didnt recur. It was the most horrendous constant pain I have felt though so it's strange you're not suffering too much!

Well,

It wasn't a tonsil stone. After further. Prodding and really moving the skin out of the way, it burst. Loads. Loads of green puss oozing for ages. More disgusting that labour I all honestly. After getting as much out as I could and nearly being sick in the process at the thought I gagrled 3 mugs of salt water and went to bed.

Nurse gave me antibiotics next day and said ot looks like start of quinsy and good job it's burst ans to keep an eye out.

Tool antibiotics finished them a week and half ago and now it's starting to re fill again. I also have tonsil stones that side that I've managed to get out aswell.

Apart from the pain this described it perfectly. It was like something pushing the soft pallate down.

I did have alot of ear pain tho and the most horrendous something stuck on that side of throat/tounge feeling ever until it burst. Now its starting to refill and I can feel it again.
