Ok, starting to get worried now...

Have been having v heavy periods. Which are followed by bloating and abdominal pain for about 10 days. Now bleeding after sex. What is this a sign of?

endometriosis??

go to the doctor - there are loads of possibilities.

Bootsmomkey - I was checked for endometriosis, among other things, about 9/10 yrs ago when we had difficulty conceiving (turned out to be DH's problem) and didn't have it then but I suppose things can change.

BBBee - I went to my GP a few weeks ago due to the heavy AF and the bloating and pain. He gave me a letter to see a cons gynae and the earliest appt privately was in MAY!!! I rang them today and told them about the bleeding after sex and they gave me an appointment for April.

I just thought that I'd check the great oracle mumsnet for its wisdom. Thanks for your help.

I have endometriosis and had a bleed after sex once. On my next smear I mentioned it to my GP who said I had a small erosion on my cervix (lovely!).

She didn't seem particularly concerned abut it and it hasn't happened again since. Just one of those lovely things your body can do to you, I guess!

I discovered yesterday that I am lactating. I am definitely not pregnant and stopped bf DD2 in September last year. I have also been having migraines on and off for the last few weeks. I know that it's not a great sign and just can't wait for appointment to come around to get some answers.
