MMR 10 days later very large lymph nodes behind ears

Posting on this section as I'm worried an no responses on CH section...

Hello,

LO had MMR 10 days ago.

Had a temp for 2 days days 7-9 which has gone away. Since then LO has developed a croaky throat and very large glands behind both ears and neck. Still eating and drinking as normal. Is this typical of MMR?

I have called 111 and waiting for a call back which will probably be tomorrow (this has happened the last 2 times I have called about my children).

Yeah this it quite common is the reaction to the Measles or mumps part of the vaccine I can’t quite recall which one. My little boy was really poorly after 10 days of the mmr nothing out of the ordinary I suppose but he seemed to of suffered more than others my daughter didn’t really have an effects. His “illness” lasted about a week

I seem to remember DD getting a cracking temp about 10 days after the MMR and it being related. Unfortunately I didn't put 2 & 2 together until after the obligatory covid test.

Thanks. The doctor I saw for out of hours was useless. He told me it's normal but since reading up it says the glands from the mumps part of the vaccination shouldn't kick in until 2-4 weeks post vaccination. Think I will try my GPs tomorrow
