Does anyone have experience of Hib (hemophilus influenza) infection as an adult?

Particularly treatment of a chronic infection? Thank you

I recently tested positive after a sputum sample after months of chest symptoms and a chronic cough.

I got very unwell shortly before I was diagnosed with extreme chills, body aches, fever etc.

I don’t know if this was caused by the bacteria or if I was unwell from flu or something on top of the Haemophilus influenzae.

I’m still unsure if the Haemophilus influenzae was the cause of my chest symptoms all along or if I developed that because of an underlying chest problem. I haven’t had anything like this before though.

Before I tested positive for this bacteria I was trying to get to the bottom of years of high WBCs (monocytes and neutrophils) which to me suggested a chronic bacterial infection.

So basically I have been diagnosed with the bacteria and I do seem to have a chronic infection but unfortunately I still don’t have any answers!
