Iron blood results

Hi I was wondering what these results mean, I had my blood done and just got my results via nhs app with a message saying I need a telephone call with the doctor but can’t do this until Monday due to work commitments. I am just wondering if anyone can tell me what they mean and what will likely happen

Serum iron level: 5.4 umol/L

Transferrin saturation 7%

Serum ferritin: 4 ug/L

You iron stores are low. You will be prescribed ferrous fumerate to being then back up.

Yes, you have an iron deficiency. I have similar #s and am on iron tablets with another blood test in two months.

Thank you all levels are low is that because my stores are low
Serum iron range 9.0-30.4
Transferrin saturation range 15% - 40%
Serum ferritin range 15-200

You must feel rubbish with iron and ferritin that low?

to be honest I don’t feel to bad, well am saying that my bloods where low 6 months ago but never been this low so maybe am used to feeling rubbish 🤷🏻‍♀️ am clod all the time (freezing to touch) and find it hard to wake my self up of a morning when my alarm goes off hopefully with treatment this will stop
