Hello. My son is a student at the University of York and he cannot find a hair stylist under 35 GBP. He does not want a barber cut and he already has a style; he really just wants it trimmed. Could anyone recommend an affordable hair stylist for him in York?

he doesn’t want a barber?

well in that case he’s going to have to suck up the cost

Thanks for the suggestion. Growing up my dad and brothers would always go to the barbers. We've been living abroad for a while though coming home most summers, and my son growing up generally had what would in the UK be called a barber cut (short back and sides, some use of a shaver). He's been wearing his hair a bit longer recently, and without the shaving. But maintaining it with a trim doesn't appear to fall into a cheap category that I can see. Even a 'wet cut' is over 35 with a student discount. If he can get a trim in a barbers without getting an actual barber cut then I think that would be fine. Maybe if he goes into a barbers and asks it might be better. Thanks for the heads-up; he can try.
