dd had a few spots on the top of her foot at the end of last week and i didnt really take much notice, over the weekend she complained of a sore mouth, but she is teething so thought it was that and calpol'd/ nurofen'd as necessary. today ive notice 5/6 spots on her hands that dont seem to be bothering her. she seems a lot better today, eating again etc, so i think she is over the worse - does this sound like had foot and mouth, and do you think a trip to the docs is necessary, as its viral? docs is quite far, we are car less and its so COLD. is ds likely to catch too?

doc will just say use calpol. It sounds like hand, foot, mouth to me.

My girls just got over it and basically doc will tell you to give dd some calpol. As my Doc discribed it, it's just like a cold virus but only this one shows up on hands, foot, mouth, oh and bum as well. Not much you can do for it, just let the virus ride itself out.

Hope you dd is feeling better

Its just a viral infection, the doc will be able to do little. I would just calpol up and keep a close eye on. However, if you are really nervous see the doc and get your mind put at rest.
