"ECG shows Biphasic T waves V4 - V6 T wave inversions in lead 111and AVF"

Picked up in regular health check, now referred to cardiology. Man aged 50, maybe slightly overweight, very fit marathon runner. What does it mean?

I had T wave inversions, picked up on an ECG and repeat! Had cardio referral and an echo and they couldn’t find anything wrong! This was about 6 years ago and I’ve been fine since 😊

Cardio said if GP, etc is worried abut ECGs, they don’t bother with a cardio referral, it’s straight to A&E, so I’d be reassured by this ❤️

That's what I said. The one time anyone was worried about mine (also nothing) I was sent straight to A&E

Women can have t wave inversion as an ‘abnormal’ normal. Men not so sure about. Some ECG abnormalities don’t need immediate sending to A/E, some do. If they’ve nothing to compare it with it’s difficult to know if it’s a new significant change or long standing benign.

I had this a couple of years ago. Ecg at GP's and sent straight to a&e. I had all sorts of scans, X-rays, echo, mri and all were normal so they concluded it's just the way my heart is.

I've had abnormal T waves picked up on an ecg and then had a repeat ecg a week later which picked it up again, I had a referral to Cardio who did a heart scan, which showed my heart was healthy but because I was also having a low resting heart rate he did a 24 hour ecg, he concluded my heart is fine but I have nocturnal bradycardia which was picked up with the 24 hour ecg
