I had a filling this morning and now the numbness has worn away I'm having very bad throbbing pain. Is this normal?

Rinse with salt water and take pain killers regularly. Normal after dentistry to have pain once the jab has worn off.

My dentist tells me yes it can be normal. I went back twice as I had pain when eating and they said the filling was sound and I had to allow for the nerve to settle. Five months on, it has finally settled. Apparently it was a big filling!
