I’d appreciate your help please. Just received my appointment letter for a Cytoscopy and it says my appointment is with Urology, Dr ——— ——— (Extra).
What does the “Extra” refer to?

Means its an extra clinic they are doing, like the waiting list initiative ones (extra shifts to docs to try and get more patients seen and bring the waiting list times down). Essentially, it's overtime. I used to do a fair few of them before I had the 2 little ones.

Urogynae specialist nurses can do em too, not just docs. Our urogynae nurse nurse is actually better and faster than some of our docs at it 😂
