Hi, I have lost school's policy and reading other policies a child must stay off either 24hrs or 48hrs. She is desperate to go, but keeping her off is no big deal and as me and dh are off anyway.

Ideas???

I think if she's been absolutely fine all day today, eating and drinking normally then she should be fine to go tomorrow (personally).

i would keep her off tomorrow and send on wednesday with letter explaining.

She should really be off for 48 hours after D&V, the risk is passing it on to others.

i would say 48hrs but alot of schools only say 24hrs and it would be 36hrs.

have alook online for your schools policy or it may even be on NHS direct.

would personally go with 48 hours as that seems about right to me. (a day off to recover and a day to make sure)

excuse to take her to park in afternoon.

since she started school, i miss taking her out during week when it is quiet. she may decide for us if she is sick again anyway,
