Molluscum - any advice?

My 3 year old DD has molluscum for 6 months now and they are spreading quite badly now from her legs to torso and arms.

I know these self resolve in 6-18 months but we look a long way away from this being the end.

We are currently putting burts bees cream on them every day but even thats a nightmare.....she has 100+ spots and stubborn.....she doesnt want cream!

Does anyone have any advice on how to tackle this? I know there are far greater issues in this world today but its so tiring trying to keep on top of these little spots to stop them from spreading.

We used molludab which was ok but very time consuming (it has a v tediously designed way to apply which takes ages).
I then found something better on Amazon which got rid of them in a few weeks. I can look it up if you are interested, can’t remember what it was called.

We bought something homeopathic and had cream from pharmacy. They went pretty much 18 months to the day. DD had them particularly badly aged 8-9 - still has a few scars on legs. It’s more about managing the big pus-y ones than anything else.

We also used molludab and that seemed to work as they'd just kept appearing when left alone.

Colloidal silver sprayed all over, once dried put msm silver cream all over. My daughters lasted 10 days because of this treatment. My heart goes out to you, molluscum is nasty

DS tummy was covered with molluscum for a couple of years before I read about this treatment and tried it- worked a treat -wish I'd known about it sooner!

We popped them too. They bleed like anything though!

This stuff worked for my daughter, it was bad behind her knees. It used to be medical advice on the NHS site, but I think it’s gone now. No idea why as it worked a charm

My DD had it all over her legs and it got really difficult to manage when it spread, it got much worse and she was covered in plasters when they burst. Daily dettol baths seemed to help contain the spread after that and they cleared up but she's been left with pitted dark purple scars. I'm so sad for her.

Molludab 100%
I had a similar thread to you last year at the end of my tether with new spots popping up left, right & centre! Tried most of the things mentioned here & nothing worked except Molludab.

With the molludab we tackled the big ones by covering with a plaster when they came close to bursting to try and reduce infection.

and dabbed every single other little bump we could see. Holding a torch at an angle helped. The ones we got when very small just disappeared, then once the biggest ones burst and healed, new ones just stopped appearing.

Not what OP was about but in case it helps - I had really awful infected ingrown hairs on my legs as a teen which lasted years, and many left scars when they eventually went (mid 20s so over a decade). Dark purple and red pitted scars all down my shins... I used Bio Oil religiously for months/years and thought it did nothing. I decided not to buy more so stopped when I ran out. Then the scars suddenly faded and were gone within a few months, so I think it was doing something after all! I still have a couple of small pitted areas but there's no colour difference so they aren't noticeable. Hope that might help your DD.
