Have I given Dh genital herpes? Feel so stupid

So, about a year ago I got my first cold sore, and it was so painful and I had about 3 really big painful one all around my month, I had tablets off gp and it cleared it up. Since then I've had around 4 but really painful. I went to gp for something unrelated but I mentioned my outbreaks and he prescribed me acloivor (don't think I've spelled that right) for the next time I feel one popping up. So last week I was in work and felt a tiny bump but in a different place to where the usually appear, but it wasn't painful, it was just there, so I started the tablets 2x a day. It never got painful like usual or burned or tingled jt just sort of crusted over and now it's just like what the pic attached is. Not like a usual sore but not sure if that's the tablets. I stay away from Dh when I have them but last night we got drunk, I completely forgot about the sore & we kissed, did oral and had sex. I woke up this morning like oh my god I can't believe It I feel so stupid !! We have never done that before! So what are the chances he is going to contract the virus off me now ? And then give it back to me in the genitals? I've told him and he's just we will deal with it but I feel so upset for him!!! I'm still on the tablets 2x a day for a month so not sure if that will suppress it for me if I was to contract it down below. Please no nasty comments I'm usually very careful with them

No one can say for sure. The Acyclovir will help suppress it but that sounds like a really low dose you were on unless they were high strength tablets?

Don't torture yourself because what's done is done

He may well have been exposed already if you have it. It's impossible to tell really.

There’s a chance, my first boyfriend went down on me and I got it, was maybe 17/18 . It was horrendous that first outbreak. Since then I have had a couple of outbreaks, I would say less than 10 and I’m 36. Until someone mentions it I forget about it. Like your husband said you will deal with it but that first outbreak could be horrendous

Btw you can't 'get it back' from him I don't think

You already have it on your lips

Unless you get a different strain (like HSV1 vs 2)

Chances are he's already been exposed, I remember doing a practical class in uni where we tested our saliva for a couple of different viruses. About a third of the class were shedding different herpes viruses with absolutely no symptoms.

Shedding the virus in saliva (which is when it is infectious) often happens without symptoms so I don't think this one incident increases his risk above what you do normally.
