assume you've checked that they dont stay white when you press them?

doesn't look like chicken pox to me (but I'm no medic), you havent changed washing powder or anything or given him anything new to eat like cheese, cows milk, strawberries?

if he's fine in himself and no temperature I'd wait until Tuesday and pop into the doctors, better safe than sorry.

If he seems OK and hasn't got a temperature it's likely to be some sort of allergic reaction - babies often get mysterious rashes that turn into nothing. It could be dietary, it could be to a washing powder or soap. You might find it disappears as mysteriously as it arrived.
