Hi everyone!
My 2.5 year old came down with a nasty virus last Wednesday evening. It was 4 days of a stinking high temperature which at its worst was 39.4. Took him to the GP last week to rule out infection before the weekend. The temp settled on Sunday and has been down since, but it’s now Friday and he’s just…not himself.
He’s eating fine, active enough, sleep is a bit broken but overall ok. He’s going to bed a bit earlier but nothing over dramatic, but he’s just so grumpy, contrary and quick to tears. I had him back at the GP today as he can be prone to ear infections and he said he couldn’t see anything like that, and just to ride it out and that it could be another milder virus at the same time.
I do have terrible health anxiety and last year was awful for back to back viruses, but this is the first one this winter that’s knocked him. I just want him back to his cheery healthy wee self!
Has anyone else experienced this?
