help! o/seas and it's good friday... DS (2.5yr) has large red spots on face, with a "middle"/spot? Had terrible C poxs last year.. surely not again?

He says he has a sore throat, and the spots have come up in the last 12 hours - 2 last night, 4 this morning... only one on torso. I though they were bites, as only really on face and ears, but I've just seen the last two come up before my eyes...

DH insists he's fine for a family day out as it manically running around..but there will be two v. elderly, and 1 1yr old..

Ideas? THoughts?

My DS had the spots for chicken pox about 6 times (really!). The doc said the virus stayed in his system, and the spots would show, but that he wasn't infectious. Outgrew it by the time he was 6.
