Eurgh I have scabies and it's the worse thing I could ever imagine. The itch is something out of this world. I need help. I cannot sleep I can't concentrate or focus on a thing. I used permethrin Friday evening. I definitely have more rash since then and the itch is no better. Does this mean it hasn't worked. I have another to use again Friday. The fact more spots have appeared is contradictory online. Some say it's due to the cream and everything dying and the reaction becoming worse, others as still being bitten. I need help and advice please! Ive been using tea tree oil on the worst patches. Antihistamines do not help. Completely miserable

That’s great your rash is all gone! how long did it take in total for the rash to go?

I didn’t treat my child, I’m just hoping they don’t get them! I did wash all our bedding in 60 degree washes.

I think I did my second treatment on the 3rd of feb and I've been rash free for about a week, so around a week after the second treatment it cleared up I'd say.
I did them both twice also, I wasn't taking any chances I was so miserable and all the horror stories online were making me think I'd be in the same situation a year down the line.

I haven’t used the 2nd tube, I hope I don’t regret that!

I used it as any eggs that were laid would apparently still hatch 7 days later 🤢 if your itching has stopped and your rash isn't getting worse hopefully you're ok

I just came across this thread as I was searching on MN for scabies.

I feel like I might have caught scabies from trying on some clothes in a supermarket last week. I was busy and didn't shower that evening which retrospectively is kind of gross if other people had tried on those clothes.

Over the last few days I've been getting an itchy crawling sensation. Then my 5 year old has had disturbed sleep due to night time itching - no rash as yet.
