Heavy periods, any natural suggestions?

Have always had heavy periods but since DD was born 8 months ago they've been ridiculous. Started on cerazette a month ago with the promise of no more periods for months and months but 2 days ago started bleeding as badly as usual. Have just searched on here and found out that several others have had problems with this pill so just wondering if it's worth the hassle. Anyone got any suggestions of natural remedies that might help? I'm not keen on the whole hormone thing but was willing to try if it was going to give me a break from the constant bleeding but if it won't help then I'd rather look at other options. Thanks.

My first thought would be to go back to GP and ask for an alternative.
