masses of pox in her fanjo, poor baby . She can't get comfortable to sleep, but I've already given her the limit of pain killers, piriton, bath with bicarb -- is there anything else I can do??

Something cold on it? Cold wet flannel in a plastic ziplock bag should do it.

Can you use Caladryl/ calamine lotion?

Naboo · 19/03/2008 19:42

grasping at straws, but, what about a rolled up, damp muslin in between her legs? she could hold it as close as she can to the sore bit? not much help, bless her, but it might make her feel like it's doing something. Poor, poor love.

meant to add put knickers between bag of wet flannel and fanjo!

thanks, WanderingT, I've tried cold flannel soaked in bicarb and warm wheat bag to hold over it. Both work for a while, but then she gets stressed again. Not sure about using calamine inside her fanjo - perhaps it would be safe??

I suspect it'll just be a looooooong night

thanks Naboo. Now I'm thinking a muslin soaked in calamine. She's quiet at the moment, but if she wakes up again it may come to that!
