Sores up nose, won’t go!

I’ve had sores up my nose since before Christmas, just at one side, I’ve been congested and had sinus issues at that side. They are against the bone in the middle of my nose and are driving me crazy. I keep picking it because they get so crusty and it feels awful but that’s obviously why they aren’t healing. Any ideas of a good cream to use?

Sounds like you need Naseptin cream but I think you can only get it from the doctor. It works really quickly.

Seen loads of patients present with nasal cold sores. Consider getting tested and treating them with Zovirax. See your GP too should not ignore non healing nose sores especially if you had them since before Xmas.

It could be impetigo, very common in noses so an antibiotic cream would treat it. I'd see a pharmacist.

Agree with this. Nasceptin or Bactroban if you're allergic to peanuts (nasceptin has peanut oil in it). It's brilliant stuff, stops the sores getting crusty and works quickly. But you do need a prescription for it.

I had this, my GP gave me Naseptin, and some saline nose drops. It cleared up fairly quickly after that.
