What is this on my toe with photo

Hi everyone I have really bad skin on my big toe it’s sore and bleeds sometimes. Have tried varies creams from pharmacy and athletes foot treatment but nothing cured it so far. Saw doctor and she sending me for xray for some reason I don’t know as not broken my toe but few years ago had toe nail removed due to ingrown toe nail. She said if xray clear will send me to see foot specialist at the hospital. I’ve just had a foot mask on it so that’s why shiney

I think you should wait for the xray results rather than seek opinions here. It looks very painful. If you can’t get answers from GP see a podiatrist.

X-ray will be to check there's no foreign bodies (splinter, small pieces of glass sort of thing) in there causing an issue.

Are you diabetic?

Morning no have been tested for Diabetes and test results were all good. Thankyou for explaining about the X-ray that makes sense now.
