Home Treatment for Eyelid Wart

Does anyone know anything that's effective for getting rid of eyelid warts?

The GP said it would come off of its own accord. However, they didn't tell me it could take two years.

The wart is massive and parts my eyelashes. It looks absolutely awful.

I will go to the pharmacy tomorrow but I am impatient.

Pharmacist here. Please go back to GP and ask if they will refer you to a dermatologist if it's really bothering you.

You cannot treat warts on the face with any home treatment and the GP cannot prescribe anything for it either. It would need a specialist to examine it to see if they may be able to treat it.

@PharmaLlamaDingDong

Thank you for your professional advice. I will go back to the GP.

Optometrist here - that's good advice, eyelids are really important for maintaining the surface of the eye, so you don't want to do anything which may damage them.

You GP should refer you if it's large.

A friend showed me similar on her eye the other day and said hadn't come off so going in to have removed. Apparently very quick procedure.

Thanks. Do you know how much she's paying?

Sorry, I don’t know if she’s having it done on the NHS, or privately.

HappyHamsters · 17/01/2024 11:36

Privately between £200 and £300 where I live, initial consultation and removal the same day if they can do it, you need a reputable dermatologist not a beauty clinic

Nets888 · 12/11/2024 20:28

@HappyHamsters does that price include the fee of the initial consultation?

Nets888 · 13/11/2024 09:47

@Kwasi did you manage to get rid of your wart? NHS or privately? If privately, may I ask how much?
