High white blood count in a child

My DS had a blood test and it showed WBC 13.6 (normal range 3.9 to 9.9). Do you think this is anything to worry about? No known infections at time of test.

Other symptoms include pale skin, loss of appetite and vomiting on and off since November (sick 2-5 times on 14 days). Have a chat with the doctor again next week.

white blood cell count is one of those things where if the body was fighting an infection it would be massively over the range not just mildly over. I don’t think just as a stand-alone reading the WBC will tell the dr much, it will be more about his symptoms overall
