What's up with my sons toes??

He's 17. He had one purplish toe about a year ago, we went Dr's. They did xray, everything fine, not broke.

But it's stayed red/purplish.

Then about 3 months ago we went back because 2 of his toes were red but it's on and off so when we got to the Dr and took his boot off it looked normal!!

She just said sometimes it happens. That's it.

But now it's more toes, and slightly on other foot too.

It's hard to get a photo of it because they look much more 'normal colour' on screen.

I real life they're red purple. Likes he's been outside in extreme cold?

It's freaking me out a bit.

I think they're a bit puffy/swollen too

Covid toes? It's a thing apparently.

Are they numb, painful or cause discomfort? Cold or hot to touch? It might be a form of reynaulds. Not all cases get the white blanching- and the photos you see online are often at the VERY extreme end of signs. Raynaud syndrome - Wikipedia

My kids get them , does yours go around barefoot a lot? I think some are just prone to them .

I don't find the doctors had much of a clue .

Chilblains on google looks very much like what he has going on.

So you just have to keep his feet warmer?

Chilblains. They're not fun! He has to keep his feet warm, basically. I get them every year and never learn to wear socks and slippers at home.
