Stomach pain and being sick

It's now been 4 weeks, I've had a tender stomach, stomach and gall bladder area pain, nausea and when I get up and move about I'm both dry retching and vomiting and it only stops if I stop what I'm doing. The hospital have ruled out my gall bladder and have ran blood tests and done an ultrasound scan so I'm urgently waiting for an OGD. I'm on Omeprazole and I've tried 2 anti sickness medications but they haven't done much apart from ease the stabbing pains I was having in my gallbladder area, I still have a sore stomach.

I haven't been able to go to work since it started and I'm getting fed up not being able to even get up and potter around the house. Has anyone experienced similar? Or any tips I could try while I'm waiting?

I’m having the exact same except I’m not vomiting at all just nausea all the time like a dull stabbing pain on my right side I’m on pantoprazole 2 times a day and cyclizine which takes the edge off my GP is convinced it was acid reflux related I’m going back Monday to ask for further investigation it’s been like this for 3 months now ☹️

@Luckylis32 sorry your going through something similar. 3 months is a long time :( I started getting fed up by the third week! I hope you get somewhere. I am going to try ringing the GP next week to chase it up because the hospital told me I should hear last week but I know they were busy. I feel bad that I am missing so much time off work.

Having the same issues at the moment. Due an endoscopy in February. Mine flares up for a week or so then settles back down. They have said it could be possible gastritis or stomach ulcer. I've found if I eat clean , no alcohol, no fat in diet that I'm ok. I'm happy to live that way if it eases the pain.

Did you have to request the endoscopy? Going to see GP Monday and feel I should say something about it whenever I go and see him he seems to just give more tablets or ask if I’m stressed

have you had to take any time off work?

@Luckylis32 I have a similar type of job, it makes it so hard!

@Thisislifefornow that's my current thinking from googling information, although I have been quite lucky and food and drink have not seemed to affected it so far.

I have had time of work due to the pain. When going to the drs on the last occasion I was sent to sau at the hospital where I was in and out a few days whilst they ran tests. This is where the referral for the endoscopy came from. I have been given omeprazole but Im reluctant to take as these give me different side effects and if I can control through diet alone I will. I hope you get answers soon.

I had similar. Nausea, wind, pain, they couldn’t find anything. Even did an endoscopy - nothing. Then it just went away. I hadn’t believed them when they suggested anxiety but maybe it was?

Have they tested for h. Pylori? This can cause similar symptoms, and is an easy fix with antibiotics.
