On thyroxine dubious tsh doctor insisting it's fine

So been on thyroxine 20+ yrs. recently discovered Hashimoto. Thyroxine increased from 125 to 150 in October and recent retest showing T4 19 and tsh 0.08. Lab report says out of range for tsh but advised no action required.
I rang gp to query this - they again said it's fine (message via admin) and I should ring if concerned.
Can't be arsed with 8am madness to get an appointment when I probably just need to reduce my dose.
What would you do?

I’d speak to my endo rather than gp

WhatAFoolishFool In the UK, patients with hypothyroidism are usually manged by their GP rather then an endocrinologist.

Do you know why your dose of thyroxine was increased, OP?

I'd be tempted to reduce my dose slightly (perhaps alternate 125/150mcg each day) and arrange for my bloods to be rechecked in three months time.

Thanks for replies. No endo involved. Changed dose as bloods went awry - that's why they did thyroid antibodies after all this time so think just autoimmune flare maybe. Initially reduced dose to 100 I summer which wasn't enough now too much. I'm going to adjust it myself see how I get on

Interesting! I didn’t realise. My friend has hyperthyroidism and is under endo so assumed it was the same.
