Lumps on tongue/allergic reaction

I had it in the summer and went to a and e as my tongue was swollen and the lumps appeared evenly at either side of my tongue and my throat felt like it was closing up. I had eaten paprika but eat it all the time so didn't think it was linked.
Last night I had paprika flakes and it flared up again. I still have the lumps. Has anyone else had this?

Is it geographic tongue? Mine swells up at the sides when I've had particularly acidic foods. What did they say at A&E?

They couldn't be 100 sure what caused it but marked it as an allergic reaction
