Having a cold gives bad period type pains

Strange one, every time I get and type of illness, cough /cold etc, I have days of pains that feel like heavy period pains or mild labour pain. I’ve been on the mini pill for about 15 years, so don’t have periods. Doesn’t cause any problems, I’m just intrigued if anyone else gets the same?

Could it be swollen glands? Kids get stomach pain from the glands in their tummy when ill. I've not come across it as an adult though.

That could be an idea, I always suffered with swollen glands as a child. This feels more central though .
