Hi!

Beginning this year, I discovered I have very low ferritin (7). After almost 7 years of terrible symptoms and doctors just telling me everything is fine, I did my own research and now taking iron tablets.

I just had my private blood tests done and I am now confusing. Please don't advise me to talk to my doctor as sadly it would be pointless.

I am worried about TIBC. Does it mean I have iron overload and must reduce dose? I have been taking 60mg every day. I am confusing and not sure what dose I should take now.

Iron 19.4umol/L (10-30)
TIBC 44.9umol/L (45-81) LOW
UIBC 25.5umol/L (13-56)
Transferrin Saturation 43.2% (25-45)
Ferritin 119ug/L (30-150)

I know that B12, Folate and Vit D is important too. They all looks good and in optimal level. My haemoglobin last time in this June was 33mmol/mol (20-41) and never had any issue with it.

I would appreciate your help. Thank you!
