I've had more colds/ coughs and sore throats the last 8 weeks then I've had in the past 10 years.
I had a cold with the usual runny nose then immediately on the back of that I had the most horrible thick green catarrh in my nose and throat.Throat also felt a bit rough.Got rid of that then immediately developed another sore throat and lost my voice.I then got this hacking dry tickling cough which I still have and now I've got another cold with a runny nose.
I've done a couple of Covid tests which were negative.
Just getting totally fed up now and wondered if other Mumsnetters have felt the same

I was ill recently, needing antibiotics, but keep feeling like I’m coming down with something again, only for it to come to nothing. And DD’s nose is still running from a virus she had weeks ago.

I'd keep testing: I've just had a positive result this morning having had symptoms for 8 days (and taking a test every day, each of which was negative)!

Unless working or living with vulnerable people in particular, what is the point in testing. Hoping for a positive?

I had a hacking tickly cough for a couple of weeks and then I cam down with a head cold and throaty cough that seems to be lingering. I did a couple of Covid tests (elderly relatives) which were negative so I'm presuming it's one or two of the many other viruses doing the rounds.

Yep, had a sore throat about four weeks ago followed by being so ill that I was off work for a week.
Came back, still not 100% got a hacking cough (almost sounds whooping at times). Was just the cough until two nights ago, sore throat again and now a full blown cold nose.
Sick and tired of not being able to get well.

Seems to be some sort of lingering virus that's going round.
I rarely get colds ands coughs so this is unusual for me to have back to back symptoms.Just totally scunnered with it all.

This still seems to be the case even though we are into spring, so frustrating!
